Name a more 2018/2019 New Year’s Eve.. We used a new emoji in a commit message and it borked the CI pipeline.

@irene ik ik, used to start them off with feat, bug, chore, etc... (like any sane person) but my new employer used emojis, I pushed back initially but then it grew on me.

Suppose I have a better standing to push back from now... but at the same time I kinda like em 😓

Why would anyone use emojis in commit messages? Commit messages are 7-bit ASCII only.

Emojis are the newest plague, I assume. The modern version of crap like spaces in path and file names, or what?
