LinkedIn:

you must have a portefolio to show your skill

Me:

maybe that's true for junior but I don't have a strong portefolio because i have a job

LinkedIn:

I do my portefolio after my working hour. It's about dedication and passion

Me:

When you're dedicated every hour is working hour. If you have time for side projects you're a bad employee.

Kinda typical. You can't be _just_ good at something. You need to spend every waking hour outside of your day job working, too.

Yeah, and even worse, don't make it on your company laptop.. What we actually all do. Who joins me on team #neverOwnsHardware? I always worked on XPS, now not working and i'm on a x270 :P That's a 4k difference right there :P

    LinkedIn is corporate fascism.

@retoor Well... there _is_ that specific hardware that I use for work that I can't really own... as an individual, that is. Those things are shrouded in mystery && you sign a blood contract w/ the devil himself to obtain them.

    /jk... kinda...

@d4got it's your favorite way of signing iirc.

Yea, my repository is both self-hosted and private.

Funny thing, just be a company and nobody cares about your portfolio.

In the end, during my last job hunt, I ended just uploading old stuff from my previous company, everything either discontinued or shelved.

They have me permission because I asked but I don't think they would have found out or cared either way.

Also, at least in Spain, as long as you don't cause profit damages by publishing, you have the right to, as intellectual owner, even if you have to enforce a closed license.
