Hmm... _If_ it pans out, the upside in the form of the increased income would be nice.

That's like ... a year from now? 70% is a pretty big jump ... and nobody likes developing in PHP. Seems like two clear steps up.

@djsumdog oh, I had good times with php but compared to python it's quite a stupid language imho. But php is good to get things done and it's possible to write beautiful stuff in. I like their oop.
I am sure you can arrange up front extra time for your lover and your new big salary you can get more unpaid leave. Everything is discusaable I guess and it's a way to let people that you think forward. -
YourMom11022d@whimsical remember, ostream's lover is the vaporator. That is how he burned himself.

int3251556mdon't think I'll switch though, I just got over the stress of switching to a new job and doing it again in less than 6 months isn't worth it for me. I thought about it and the stress it puts on me is really not worth the massive salary hike. Also, it's a gambling company, so it goes against my personal values. I fuckin hate gambling.

I just had a recruiter reach out to me on LinkedIn for a senior front end developer job. Hybrid, 70% more than what I currently get as a Laravel developer. And I really like working with Laravel.
Fuck... I've been in this new job since September and I might just pursue this. It's SO MUCH MONEY, HOLY FUCK.
Problem is, I won't have a lot of holiday time when my lover wants to come visit me next year.
