tokumei21316yFine, I'll take the bait. Wiring a guitar instead of stringing it? What is it, a junction box now and we have to connect all the tuning pegs to their respective nuts with a conductive material?
-
Lower strings are made by a metal wire and another metal wire winding around it. So technically they can be considered cables 😅

Reminds me of the ElectroBoom Electric Guitar video... https://youtube.com/watch/...

tokumei21316y@Taqriaqsuk acoustic guitars that I've played have bronze / phosphor wound wire in the lower registers and steel in the higher ones. I think I've heard of nylon too but never seen it.

mundo0349796yCables are not only metal strings, cables are meant to carry information, so the guitar wires are not really wires.
The not wires in a guitar are analog wave generators, each with a min and max frequency.
Those analog wave generators are called strings in this context.
So the guitar not wires analog wave generators are actually called strings, regardless of the material they are made of -
I didn't know that all classical guitars have nylon strings. It was a discovery for me
They aren't guitar strings. They're usually made of metal.
They're guitar wires.
