I had photos taken without my consent and put on the front page so I find photos of real employees to trigger me too... sigh

@jestdotty Interesting. At previous job, they made some PR BS, people came w/ cameras && whatnot.
Good thing we were given heads-up about it. Immediately told the lead that I am hiding shortly before they arrive && want to be informed once they've left because yeah - privacy. -
@D-4got10-01 yeah they just took a photo and I thought it was someone's personal photo. nope front page of the website. grrrr
and while I could contact them and bitch it seems excessive. they should've warned me
in the future I will be dodging out of photos
I was hoping over time they'd redesign their website but that photo is still up there nearly 10 years later... raagghh -
@jestdotty > 'nope front page of the website. grrrr'
Same company - One time they made a team photo of us && told us they want to make it public. At least they did tell us that 'this is our opportunity to tell them that we want to be removed / blurred / whatever from / in the photo'.
> 'in the future I will be dodging out of photos'
That's what I'm doing whenever I see someone holding up a camera. Too many people think they're a photographer nowadays just because they have a camera in their phone. Also vast majority just don't respect the privacy o passers-by.
...yes, I'm aware you're mostly talking about something company-related. I went w/ catch-all.
> 'that photo is still up there nearly 10 years later... raagghh'
I think at this point I would actually tell them to remove me from it. -
yep, for us , in the know... the sad part is, it works on the majority of the population

!dev Isn't it hilarious how some companies 'try' to look professional by dumping a bunch of stock images to present their brand? For example, a guy touching a holoscreen, or a bunch of overly stock happy corporate drones smiling and 'working' together in a 'meeting'.
I mean, it's sad. lol
