@Nitesh nope, I think they are all quite comparable. maybe the methodologies differ but there is practically nothing you can do in one that you can't do in the other IMHO.

@nocgod linux has an advantage that you can modify functionalities to your needs, and even recompile the kernel. others have an advantage that you can give away your private data to big corporations :D and also you can have a pirated os, of which linux unfortunately deprives you.

Actually, it looks pretty good for Linux.

@cors recompiling the kernel in Windows is impossible, however it is a task done by a rather small % of the developers/companies. what functionalities are you referring to?

Linux doesn't fit the picture, just imagine you're inside the matrix. That makes a lot more sense.
