Didnt it work better when I reduced the renderdistance serverside? -
@Linux The main issue is particles. Even on other servers and single player, too many particles brings me to <10 fps with a gtx 1080 and 4ghz i7

@Linux I have Windows 10 and Ubuntu but both experience the same issue in 1.13. Neither experience the issue in 1.8

@Linux Undoubtedly nothing more than poor optimization in recent versions.

@Linux Go figure, I was right. They changed particles from simple collision for whatever reason. Now it drops frames like a motherfucker.
Sad to abort a nice Minecraft session with fellow devranters in order to drive to work... Hopefully I am back before 4AM.
