research.google.com or research.ibm.com for more recent advancements. I'm very sure the 1% is so large that these two sites will give you less than 1% of what is actually being done -
Why is this important? Did the 1% elite work on Facebook, for example, some years ago?

asgs115636y@JackToolsNet it is important in the sense where the industry MIGHT be heading towards and how far behind the rest of us is.
It is like knowing what the billionaires are earning and how. It is not like we catch up with them, but a sense to see where we are and where they are -
Among the most hyped things today there are machine learning and real-time ray tracing. I think those are the most financially rewarding topics nowadays so I guess a lot of top developers/engineers are involved in them.
