Freelancers, how do you deal with clients who seem to refuse to pay on time? This is just the last few rows of my account balances and as a student that kind of money is huge!

    Draw up some contracts, that way you have a legal backbone to threaten when people decide to be cunts.

    I cry in a corner. And used to live month by month. Eating dry rice sometimes.

    But after a year you get so sick and tired of it. So I tried living for half my expenses, and build a buffer that could sustain me for a few months until payements finaly come in.

    @for-Each my experience is that even then they pay late. Large companies more often.

    @MisterArie You'll always have that. It's not there to completely stop them.
    It's there as a consequence to not paying you

    Not sure if illegal, but I'd put code to stop the entire thing until my payment arrives.
