What positive support stories do you guys have?

I have two:

One, is from myself. I lost the power cable to my XPS 15 (the fancy one, 4k touch) and had a knock off replacement battery that got in flames. I called support that I can't find original adapter anywhere for my XPS and told also that I lost the original one. They just sent me a new one for free! Would it have to do since it was such fancy laptop?

Other one was from a friend, together we tried to install Linux on an iPod (such classing one with 80gb I guess) and that thing did nothing anymore in exception of showing a penguin and turn off again. Anyway, he went to the store and got it replaced for free!

Worst support: OpenAI. It has automated service pretending to be human that emphatizes with you. It defines your problem in it's own words (pretending to have listened) and says things like "Oh, that sounds bad if x y z", And that's all. I wrote several emails so I know they're fake as f. Always that empathy email. They're evil. The amount of things that don't work at OpenAI is too damn high!

Pine cone: I told them about their weird billing practices, got nothing back. I still often e-mail them. But I do not think they spend time on a lost customer.

My only positive support story was when I bought new Jabra wireless headphones and they were broken. Wrote to support, they asked a few questions and then told me they will send me new ones and I can keep the old ones.

Really easy, well communicated, no obstruction support...

I even mamaged to fix the first ones myself (it had a damaged PCB, fixed via a jumper wire, worked ever since) so I essentially got one free pair. But this service alone means I will consider buying again from them once mine break

@Hazarth Ah, that's great. Especially since they didn't ask you to send the old one. I mean, what normally happens when you send the old one? Just to prove you're not lying? I won't see it going up for repairs and the company reselling it again.

    Yeah, wholesome!

I have 15,- headphones right now, good quality. Miracle huh? :D It's from Fresh 'n Rebel. A Dutch brand.

The revolution sound made the last few years is really sick.

@retoor I have a headset that chipped off a bit of plastic on the head strap holder and they replaced it, was near the end of the warranty and I just send a "hey does this fall under the warranty?" expecting them to be "lol no"

    Positive:

    - 'Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition' had been crashing on Xbox 360 when accessing one of the menus.

Support mentioned that a certain DLC that used to be a standalone is now included in the Gold Edition.

Once the standalone was removed the issue got fixed.

    Negative:

    - The Nintendo 3DS version of 'Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward' has a bug where the Save Data can get corrupted.

    Support's response was something like:

    > 'We know about the issue but the developer has moved on to another project'.

...so 'Yeah, there's a fuckup but it'll never get fixed'.
