Fuck the design guidelines that change every fucking day. It makes Front-End an unbearable hell. I'm seriously tired of having to code stupid shit for exceptions exceptions exceptions.

Web designers that don't code... I nominate them for the first Mars colonization mission.

If they wouldn't change.. uhm, look up some of the old websites. They look bad or plain, rarely good. So just don't "overdesign" or it will (maybe) look shit in 5 years. Minimalism is timeless. Avoid trends if you don't want to design new things everyday.

Other than that I try to learn design trends in order to not master them but learn from them. Most times it's about breaking the rules anyways if you want to stick out of the mass.

@BambuSource I'm talking about changing the design system the day after it has been shared with us developers. Not like after a year it's been online. like in 24 hours. After I declared all rules for design system.. bam, 'wait there's an exception for this'.. alright, and then bam 'yeah we have designed the cards always like this but now there's another exception' blablabla

Everytime I take up a front-end project, I always have to endure multiple research tasks to convince the new project lead that why we should use just minimalism because that will never ever go out. And having new design standards popping up every 2 days doesn't help matters.
