Apple, I usually enjoy your products, but REALLY?!?! Why didn’t you design a mouse to be used while it’s charging?!?

How long does it take to charge it? 20 minutes?

    Simple, dont buy apple...

Apparently its damanging for the battery if you use it while charging, hence the intentional design.
    Yeah I'm fun at parties

The answer is simple, buy two :D

The mouse deserves some rest too

It looks like a cockroach mating... ew... the fuck were they thinking?!

    @SADAVA and go full bankruptcy

@Mizz141 yeah, I don't get why this is so difficult to some people

They don't want you to use it while charging and since users are dumb and won't understand or agree to what they say so they made this design.

    Haha. OMG.

    Use a regular mouse...?

This is not even a 🐁 to be USED at all hence while charging 😂 and yes, I buy 🍎 ! But never 🍎 🐁

Man, Apple should make something like 'wireless charging for mouses' as Razer is working on, but they (I mean Apple) isn't working on that, because they don't want to, idk why, maybe just for money?

I think the reason is so you don't leave the cable in the mouse all the time, thus rendering the wirelessness(?) moot.

@Glinkis, damn, that's genius, I haven't even thought about that, that's totally a new level of thinking!

@dontPanic About 2 minutes for an eight hour charge, two hours for a full month. Can be charged from empty to usable in about the time it takes to make a coffee.

@AlpineLinnix yeah, that's also true, they need something like iWaves (radio waves BY APPLE) or something that could wireless charge their products

    Navel-Cord

@RootPixl Yeah. They use a locked-down proprietary charging protocol called Qi.

This is just another poor decision from Apple. Sure, it may be better for the battery to charge while not in use, but is that what their end user wants? Those who are concerned about their battery health will not use it anyway while it's charging, even if the charging port is in a standard or practical location.

Also, for you guys speaking of wireless charging, Logitech already have a wireless charging solution called "Powerplay" in their 'G' range. Quite a nice range too, but yes, it does need a large mouse pad.

I feel like most Apple people look down on mouse-users and prefer to use their fat fingers and touchpads.

Brilliant design.. the user has to buy two 😄

If Apple really cared that much they would put the lightning connector in the centre of the ducking screen

This is getting old. Charging it for the day takes two minutes (as owners point out each. and. every. time) . Plug it in, fetch a coffee, unplug it and enjoy a nice mouse that doubles as a small touch pad*.

I wish folks who don't own it would stop ranting about it.

*Fire up Figma.com and enjoy butter smooth panning and zooming without releasing the mouse.
