it's easier to refer to node as a language than to explain to the layman that you know how to work with JavaScript on the server side.

node is just a framework for JavaScript then stack on express as another framework for node, all to make a square fit into a circle.

@grolofson It's a runtime actually. A lot of my friends who were beginners thought of it as a framework. Had to explain it has a proper VM just like other runtimes.
