We have a new employee originally from Columbia. He says "eem" all the time while talking. I don't know if its a cultural thing or what. Sometimes it annoys the fuck out of me. He is legitimately really smart and kind person. I am sure I have quirks that annoy people too. (For some people I hope so.)

Or mouth smacking. There are things I will die not knowing because the people that made those tutorials think that punctuating their sentences with mouth noises makes them sound contemplative or sophisticated.

@Demolishun, it's a common thing for people who don't speak English as their native language.

Sometimes our mind knows what to say but forming sentences with the right words takes time especially when you are in some official/work related talk.

just consider this as buffering. If same thing they have to speak in their own language, they can speak more clear and faster.

There's a worst kind I encountered recently:
Spamming "and then go ahead and..." between every single sentence.

@AvatarOfKaine and fast, it made much performance improvements, they're now investing on JIT IIRC and the GIL can be disabled with a compile parameter. Not sure if you'll have true threads after that, i doubt. But compiling python yourself is very doable. We're on 3.14 now, that goes hard huh?
