@g-m-f sadly I don't but this is a weekly renewed temp contract that will end once the project is finished (or one of us choses to not renew on monday). The catch 22 is that I work 46 ish hours (and get paid 40) and don't have any time off to find a new job.

cahva10158yBoss cuts the estimate by half, if you ask a coder to give you an estimate, multiply it by 3 to get realistic estimation 😀
-
I'm with @cahva in this one. A previous boss (both an engineer and developer) always said "Multiply your estimate by Pi."
He's a smart man... mainly 'cause he got it! -
Applying for a job when you have a job makes you more enticing to employers. But either way good luck and keep us informed.

endUser18yif you could actually do that, eventually, you would become boss, perhaps would tell the same to your employees but half the time it took you

youprat11598yAgree with @Jumpshot44. Just start the interview process. A dev would be lucky to land a job on the first interview. It should take a couple of weeks to get a new gig. Meantime, take your anger/frustration out on a punching bag/stress ball/treadmill. 😝

thnx @GinjaNinja @Jumpshot44 @youprat and others for the feedback.
After working almost 12 hours where the last 4 were unpaid and spend fucking up css (My job is backend mostly) with my boss sitting next to me changing his mind every 2 seconds (literaly) about text and colors and layout (after agreeing to the design a month ago, what a monument to compromise this has become) , I have decided that this bridge must be burned, maybe even bombed or nuked perhaps.
2 more days and I can leave without notice (lack of job security has its upsides). Maybe Ill link to devrant in my resignation letter.
to be continued....
My boss has this habit of telling me what to do, followed by "thats easy" and "it should take you about <half the time it actually takes to do it barely okeish>"
My boss does not code and whenever I try to explain why stuff takes as long as it does he replies with, thats technical, I don't want to know...
Quiting my job at the end of the week : )
