Just got myself an iPhone se. Was proud android fan for 4 years.

No hate, but android apps really feel like cheap knock-offs.

I'm never coming back.

    Side effects of the major companies sucking Apple's dick for a living.

    @irene ouch, that was rough

    I still use Linux tho. Not going to switch.

    i was an android fan for years, then i decided to buy an iphone just because i never had one and i was curious. so far i am satisfied with it, especially after using androids that became shitty with time ( wow, it works so smoothly!), but i might buy an android in the future, they are becoming better these days and even though i am happy with my iphone it is not perfect.

    Android apps feeling like cheap knock-offs... so the Spotify android/ios app interfaces are nearly identical. What would make the android version look cheap?

    @linuxxx never used spotify.

    It's not about how it looks, it's about how it feels. android just feels sluggish, that's all. tiny, just tiny amount of lags, but they're everywhere. And as time goes by, amount just increases

    I really can't blame the op ss everyone else is since there are noticeable lags on Android apps that are not normally present as much in Apple devices and this is a given fact. I personally blame developers, but do give them a break since as an ex Android developer(because I won't do that noise no mo) making apps for Android is a big pain in the ass resulting in poorly made apps that are released to meet deadlines due to the mammut Android API. I still much prefer Android, but that is only because I cash out hardcore on my Android devices, one plus one, high end motorola, top of the line lgs or the newest and sexiest from Samsung and you can't really go wrong.

    Plus, the SE is a great lil powerhorse. Congrats on getting a great phone man!

    Only took 13 hours of doubt to get converted to the dark side.

    I used to be an iPhone guy back in the iPhone 4 days, then converted back to Android again. On Black Friday last year, I impulse bought an iPhone X with the intent of switching back and forth between that and my S8. The iPhone was nice, but there were just little things that Android had that iOS doesn't -- like good clipboard functionality, which is something I use very often. I'm sure there's some tweak I could've sideloaded onto it, but Android was just a better choice for me. Maybe down the road I'll try another iPhone out. I really liked the integration with Apple CarPlay

    I am glad you are enjoying the phone you chose. 🙂

    @uyouthe Never experienced that. I took Spotify as example as you said it in a generalizing way :)

    I've used an iPod touch but I don't notice much of a difference with my android phone.

    Had 3 Android phones before my iPhone 5s in 2013. Still working just like the first day. smooth and without any lag. And just fast. I remember I was at the Red Fang concert and had to make the singer wait a few minutes so that I can open the camera app on my Android.. it took ages to load, it was super cringy.. and when I clicked shutter, we had to wait like ten seconds in front of the flash so that it can at last take a photo. That's when I thought I'm never touching an Android again. I mean, ok fuck Apple too for being super non innovative and expensive. But boy I love my never failing iPhone 5s.

    @highonsleep that thing! Exactly!

    @uyouthe so ignore the people who get butthurt and write offensive comments when you say anything bad about Android (fuck Android, and fuck Apple too, I'm not even talking about the Microsoft Phone bullshit). Enjoy your new choice. You'll be glad.

    @highonsleep thank you so much. Let everyone use what they enjoy

    @irene hey you know what I actually checked yesterday if there's any blackberry phone running Android, and there actually is and they look really good. Might get one as soon as my iPhones battery goes total dead. But thanks for the suggestion, I'll check the others 😊

    @irene the bananaphones! Yeah I know them, like the come back of matrix phones! But I think yellow really isn't my color, doesn't really show my eyes, and ive used symbian before, I don't know what Nokia runs now, but it wasn't better than android to be honest 🤔

    @irene what is bananaphone?

    @irene what model? Or photo please?

    Chances are you had a shit android phone which costed peanuts. You can't just compare the performance, you need the pricetag to factor in as well.
