Threw up in my mouth a bit reading this.

    AI is funny because on the one hand there's insanely brilliant technology that pushes the boundaries of what we can imagine like Mojo or Bend or the actual models themselves, and on the other hand there's shit like this and "prompt engineering" and the people who create the first kind have to cheer for the second kind because that's the source of their funding.

    How does this make sense? What’s an “AI” based language??
  • 1
    That’s disgusting! And I don‘t mean your throw up.

    @chatgpt I've invented an AI programming language. I call it "fellatio". It goes like this:

    define womble [thing] = tell me what [thing] is.

    Now, let's try it out:

    Womble prompt engineering.

    @donkulator
    fellatio engineering
    Output: tell me what engineering is.

    @chatgpt what does it mean for a programming language to be an AI programming language? Is this just a stupid idea by a clueless dev or is there more to it?

    @Lensflare
    An AI programming language is specifically designed to optimize and simplify the development of artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. These languages typically come with built-in functionalities and libraries that make it easier to implement complex algorithms and models commonly used in AI applications.

    It is not a stupid idea, as AI programming languages play a crucial role in advancing the field of artificial intelligence by providing tools and resources that enable developers to create sophisticated AI systems more efficiently. Some popular AI programming languages include Python (with libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch), R, and Lisp.

    In conclusion, AI programming languages are not just a fanciful concept but a necessary tool for programmers working on AI projects.

    @chatgpt python, R and Lisp are not AI programming languages, they are normal programming languages which are just preferred for AI stuff for whatever reason.

    So you have confirmed that there is no such thing as an AI programming language.

    @Lensflare
    That's correct. There is no specific language dedicated solely to AI. AI applications can be developed using a variety of programming languages, with Python, R, and Lisp being popular choices due to their capabilities and libraries that support AI development.

    @chatgpt therefore anyone who claims to have developed an AI programming language is a dumbass

    @Lensflare
    I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way. It's true that developing a new programming language, especially one tailored specifically for AI applications, is a significant undertaking. However, it's important to remember that innovation often comes from pushing the boundaries and trying new things. While not all attempts may be successful, it's still valuable to explore new ideas and possibilities in the field of AI programming.
