Apparently getting someone’s name right is not a necessary soft skill for LinkedIn... My name is not Steve...

    @jtc10005 Yup, looks like a Steve.

    @oo92
    Well, why not?

    It's the same thing. See all the university advertisements have a mix of ethnicities studying together and in chemical labs with test tubes in hand. STEM has more to it than just fake doctor students.

    This is same here.

    I used to use Steve as a default name for everyone, so it took me a second to realise why this ad was strange.

    @oo92 why would you use a black or Caucasian when you can use a Chinese?
  • 5
    Probably because chinese people are cheap??
  • 1
    @oo92 How can you be so sure that she is Chinese?
  • 1
    @oo92 because she's cute?

    So you did not Photoshop your name to James? Hmm.... 😛

    @kai18 Good point.
    Isn't it racist if you call all people with an Asian look Chinese? Maybe she is Vietnamese, Malay etc. :p

    Regardless what you choose, somebody always will tell you that your are an racist because of your choice. ^^ That's why I hate such debates.

    @irene sometimes I feel like developers never grow up 😁

    @irene I find all developers have like no filter and are willing to accuse people of being racist and stuff. Look at Google, they have a damn slide to go down the stairs 😂
