I recently got YouTube premium for 11,- and I'm happy with it. It includes YouTube music. I use yt so much, 11,- is actually cheap even. Wanting everything free and complain about ads at the same time is kinda weird imho. We know no service in life is free right

YouTube has also declared war on Invidious instances. Videos will refuse to play in Firefox now as well.

I just use FreeTube and yt-dlp

    Method:

Firefox + Ublock Origin. Also, all analytics turned off on my Youtube account.

    Result:

Zero interaction or suggestions for viewing. I am second class Youtube user now.

Yeah, it' s pretty fucking ridiculous. I only get taunted with "you can make this all go away with youtube premium" 17 times per day as well. My VPN helps, but I can't install one on my locked down computer at work.

fucking youtube ads... 20 million ads promoting garbage i'm not interested in nor will I ever become interested in just because I saw it in some stupid ass ad someone got bilked for by those money-grabbing whores at google
  • 3
@retoor Do you really think they won't start playing ads for Premium eventually?
  • 0
@cuddlyogre that is how they billed cable and amazon prime. No ads, ever. Then they put ads.

@cuddlyogre yes, I think so. If they would ever do that, I can just cancel the subscription right? What's dem issue? For now I'm happy as a cat on bacon
