Guys, would you rather do with good team and be the least experienced or in a small company and be the best programmer there?

If your the best every one will turn to you with the really hard problems.

The novelty if that usually wears off very quickly.

Having worked in both scenarios, I enjoyed being the least experienced in a good team because I learned a lot on the job and from my coworkers that I would never have picked up on my own. When I was the most experienced on another team, it felt fulfilling to be able to teach some of them the things I learned, but on the job it was a difficult process because of daily tasks and such.

If I could choose, I would go for the first scenario even if I was paid less, because I would be happy.

Second scenario would require paying me greatly to compensate.

The first one IMO. You'll learn many things. Like steve jobs said.. Stay hungry, stay foolish

I'd love to have somebody that can teach me new stuff, but I love to teach myself. Still, neither do I want to be the best not will I ever be able to shine at everything. A well balanced team is the way to go for me.
