    both. I think the whole concept of purely a front-end our back-end developer is getting a bit outdated. given the possibilities with JavaScript/ecmascript/css pre processors/static site generators/cool new server side languages and frameworks nowadays I think the proper term to use is 'developer'.

    besides, I've seen plenty of 'front-end' developers who have mad skills and think many of them don't get the salary they deserve.

    Both here too. Unless you're part of a big team, I don't think you can be either one or the other.
