Dev : I think so, (to the compiler) right??
Compiler : yeah no problem. *Evil laugh* -
@byte-me ...but not in the presence of the client, totally unfair. Arse backed into a corner scenario.
-
paladez1807y@ItsNotMyFault Good strategy. Add much contingency too since they'll keep on adding requirements down the line. ;)
The life we live. -
paladez1807y@helloworld That's true. I'd prefer my manager asking me prior to responding to the client. Best case scenario is, you and your manager are on the same page and are fighting for the same thing.

Lol
'yes we can do it, right?'
Dev: 'Yes we can, if you secretly hired 10 new devs that will help ... Otherwise, no' -
cjbatz14717y@paladez You don't have to say "no" to clients, just tell them how much more it will cost and how long it will take...

suprano38307yHaha *cries a little inside..Only if managers understand what it will take to get that job done.
-
paladez1807y@suprano This is why I like managers who were once developers. They understand the pain.
-
suprano38307y@paladez I mean that's how it should be. How do you manage something you have no idea about? Ha
Client: Can you do it?
Manager: We can do it! (to developer) Right?
