donuts238487yI also realized lol can be interpreted like a emoticon of someone:
-stretching
-going banzai!!!!
-clebrating (cheering, jumping up with joy, taking first place)
-going WTF, I give up
Early morning hours... Best time to come up with random thoughts -
okkimus19697yBut have you been programming with different languages?
Cos I fear not the man who has practiced 10000 languages one hour. But I fear the man who has practiced one language for 10000 hours. -
donuts238487y@okkimus sounds like my a lot of IT monkeys...
But yes 20 yrs of hobby programming and just one language? I pick up languages as needed and well I've built a lot of different things. -
donuts238487y@okkimus it sounds familiar but not sure who said it and what was the original...
I think it's either Ben Franklin it Abe Lincoln?
BTW I fear both... The first is an ADD monkey or a script kiddie that's always trying the latest thing but can't finish any. -
My code just processed its ten thousand online order, its good to have milestones.

I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who had practiced one kick 10,000 times
-Bruce Lee :D
I woke up and had a thought...
I may have exceeded "10,000 hours of experience" in programming.
10,000 hrs / 2hrs per day / 360 days in a year = 14 years
I've been programming for 20 years as a hobby, and 5 years professionally which I think averages out to the 2hrs per day
I wonder if and how I should put that more explicitly on my resume. And maybe that's why I see so many monkeys at work...
