Trey4658yI prefer it over Windows because it has bash built right in. I prefer it over Linux because it actually has programs I use, such as Photoshop.

SithLord8508y- developers in mind (bash, ruby, and such by default)
- design
- privacy
(Could list at least 10 more easily)
Ofc. Linux has developers in mind too, but all Linux distros has horrible UI's -
Generally:
- touchpad to die for
- magsafe on the older ones
- bash
Use Debian for my primary dev VM but as all Linux distros it could benefit from some usability professionals in the team. -
nizamani1888y- Bash
- Range of quality apps
- Does not crash on you (like linux)
- Does not force update and download in background (like windows)
- light UI (unlike Windows)
- TRACK PAD!
- Full screen mode (unlike windows and linux)

Never crashes - I keep my mac running for weeks at a time
Never ever had an OS update fail or a device fail to install
xCode
Just a joy to have such reliability -
nizamani1888y(Mac specific pro) oh and knowing you can try and install any OS out there in VM (OSX, Windows, Linux/Unix distros) and they will work just fine!
+1 for mentioning Xcode ^ -
@iakar I'll agree that stability is really good. I have one machine who must be 7+ yeast old. Never reinstalled and didn't start to act up until I upgraded the OS to versions that was a bit to much to handle. It still runs but is a bit slow to start stuff. Using a Windows machine without reinstalling for that long and upgrading the OS a few times... no thanks.

The biggest con for enterprise environments is that Mac OS x only updates its latest version mostly. Microsoft continues to support their OS for many, many, many years.
for OSX users: please comment with the top 3 reasons of why do you prefer it over Windows and Linux. Thanks a lot.
