I was making software for a small handheld RFID scanner that would read specific fields from the tags. Somehow one of the fields always missed the first byte. Given that I was new to working with C I thought it was my lack of skills in the language. Spent days searching my methods, trying to find my mistake. After day two I found out I was given the wrong address to read from, and that I had just wasted two days.2

I had played some child games on a computer, but I never really cared untill my friend showed me Club penguin. Those were the days

I'm in highschool, and I have this class about science. We are soon going to do our own project/study for half a year or so. It could be in any subject, and I wondered if you guys had any suggestions to a project related to computer science / programming etc.3

We are not allowed to install anything on our school PC's, not even fonts. I need suggestions for some nice MS office fonts.1

So I'm reading up on the HomeAssistant documentation to prepare for submitting to their repo. I was really excited to find such a nice repo to contribute to, but i suddenly had to reconsider when i found this:10

!Rant
Had the best day at work today.
This summer I got to do a little work at the company my dad works. (typically cleaning and updating some machines. Stuff that the others don't have time for. Pretty boring)
Suddenly I get asked
"Have you ever developed for windows?"
I have only worked with Linux or Mac/ios (python and swift) so I told him I hadn't , but I could try.
Next thing I am making a system check program in c# (had to learn it on the fly) and I get paid to do it! I GOT FUCKING PAID TO PROGRAM! I don't have any education or whatsoever (only 17years old) but I got paid to do what I love😍😍😍
I am so excited to go to work tomorrow!1 -
Coding has changed me a lot! I think differently, I make stuff, I am more creative, I now the difference between {}, [] and (), and I know what to do with my life. Also no more sleep.

Just discovered the Dart language. It seams very intereting, especially with the Flutter SDK. Someone have any experience with it? Do you recomend learning it?3

I'm have an English test this week, and I need help! What are some important norms, rules or standards when it comes to software development/coding/programming/whatever? The task is to write about such norms and social construct of your future profession, and how important they are.
