Reading all these hacking stories has made me nervous that my server isn't protected enough.
I've disabled password login and setup SSH keys which as far as I know is a big step in the right direction.
Is it enough? What more should I do?
In case you can't tell, I'm no expert in server adminy stuff 😛9 -

It's the little things in dev life...1 -
Just wrote a Python script to generate me a JSON file.
I forgot the 0th command line argument is the file you're running...
On first test it overwrote itself.15 -

THERE'S A COMMA ON THE END OF THE LINE THAT HAS BEEN CAUSING MY LIST TO BE WRAPPED IN A SECOND LIST AND IT HAS TAKEN ME AN HOUR TO FIND.
Good luck finding it, it's hard!2 -

Installed GNOME terminal and so went to uninstall the default XTerm as it seemed unnecessary.
Turns out removing xterm removes the entire X Window System...
I can't remember my username...3 -
The problem with those USB sticks that don't have the cover over them is that you can insert them upside down.
That turns out to be harder to fault find than when it just doesn't go in... -
4 and a half years doing socket/network programming and I only just learnt my understanding of TCP was largely incorrect...
Well then... That's something...3 -

You can now use stuff like *bold* and _italic_ it seems...2 -
Since there's a lot of hatred for certain programs here, what's your favourite program/software?
Can be a web app/desktop app/smart phone app etc.
Choose only one. No excuses!21
