I prefer eclipse because it has plugins for all the non java stuff i do (yes i do non java stuff), and has a great vaadin support
Also i have ij ultimate, used it for a few weeks, didnt like it -
DataSecs9377y@BindView What did you dislike about ij ultimate, if I may ask ? :D I think ultimate is a little bloated at some points 😅
-
DataSecs9377y@AlexDeLarge I agree at the end it's just a matter of taste. I was interested in hearing about pros and cons people see in them. As I may be a little taken by intelliJ 😅
-
@DataSec it wasnt bad, just wasnt as useful as eclipse because of the stuff i mentioned
If its half as bloated as android studio tho, then im happy i never used it for anything big -
DataSecs9377y@BindView Well yea that's reasonable. Hahah, Ultimate ships with android support. I don't know in how far, but just that part must be quite big 😅

From what I have seen, I really like IntelliJ, but I don’t believe in renting my tools.

DataSecs9377y@deusprogrammer Does something like temporal license/rent include that for you? Because when you are developing for a company or as a student you get all of their programs for free 😊

I have been discussing for quite a while now in a WhatsApp group what IDE is better, IntelliJ vs Eclipse. I personally prefer IntelliJ, for a lot of reasons. But what is your opinion, what are the pros/cons of each IDE for you?
