CLI can stand for either. The term "command-line interface" has been around since physical terminals were a thing while"Common Language infrastructure" came to be around 2000.

Genuinely thought "CLI" meant Command Line Interface. Only just realised it means Common Language Infastructure. How have I been a dev for this long :(
