ScriptCoded19207353dOf course it's a good reason to switch. That sounds like an absolute trash job.

tosensei8375353d6-day-week would be a good enough reason to never even consider the job, unless the alternative is literally starving.
-
asgs11563353dIt is sad to see most of the environments where there is a lot of learning possibilities are toxic and causing negative effects to the overall well-being

kamen6984353dIf you were in a bad spot and if this is well paid, then it's understandable at least for a little while. Hope the overtime gets paid appropriately (otherwise I think you can even sue them if you have the nerves). Start looking for something else (if you haven't already).
Even a bad gut feeling is enough of a reason to switch; the way you describe it though it seems objectively bad. -
TeachMeCode5174353dHe sits 2 ft away?????? That’s good enough for me to start applying. Solidified by over 5 day work week. Then tell him to fuck off when you land somewhere else.

SidTheITGuy9594353d`I got to work on many things that helped me gain lot of tech expertise`
That's Stockholm Syndrome, my guy. I used to be thankful too, when I was bullied and yelled at and then gaslighted to be thankful that I still have a job and get to learn what I do.
Trust me, you're gonna kick urself in the long run. -
dissolvedgirl1064353dGet out of that job. I was in a similar position in a previous career and got out. My life improved afterwards.

Squarety428353dIf your job makes your life miserable, it's time to seek a way out. Remember, we spend most of our life at work. Good luck and I'm sure you will find something way better!

Wisecrack9972353d@TeachMeCode eat lots of gassy food. Fart religiously in his general direction.
Act all apologetic. But keep doing it.
He'll get the message. -
meraklis51302dI interviewed and accepted a job…on my first day I saw that my desk was next to the director, and it overlooked a highway…when I asked for a specific keyboard they said no… I said thank you and walked out. I saw exactly what type of environment I walked into. You need to quit.

I work at a 6day work week company and this week it was 7. We work more than 10hours a day in a 7×27 foot co-working office space. My manager sits just 2foot away from me to my back. He is toxic as hell and nano(micro) manages the team. I stay very near to office and I feel like I am a dead person just living to work.
Is this a good reason to change the job after an year ? I feel lonely and negative. My manager sitting just few inches away from me makes me feel like a fish trying to behave outside water.
But the best part is I got to work on many things that helped me gain lot of tech expertise still he wanted control every piece of code.
