@needToRoll I'm an incident manager for a small business (in terms of employees, not clients), I work geek squad, I'm a teacher's assistant, and I'm a security guard.
From what I hear, most incident managers just take notes and call people on, but we're supposed to know how all 560 application in 7 regions interact with each other on all our servers and databases, and know which environment in production, using which middle ware. It's hell. Because the application owners are "never wrong" in their mind, and our systems are typically healthy and just get taxed by their shitty code.
