why do so many programmers have so little regard for grammar/syntax, spelling and formatting when it comes to written communication?? it's not as though you can get away with ignoring their analogues when coding!

I recently worked on a wordpress site where the dev who set it up spelled 2 custom post types incorrectly on setup. then instead of fixing it he just used the incorrect spelling when referencing it through other files. wtf?? then the url structure had misspellings in it and I had to go through and change everything. such a waste of time

I once had to work on an application where they named all of the variables after Pokémon.

lmao that's awesome actually. sometimes you need just a temp variable to sort an array or do something and I could start naming them after Pokémon. thanks for the suggestion

I'll use fun names to define projects, sure (this year it's "names of characters/places from blade runner") but in-project I tend to stick to something to do with the project, even if it is a silly holding name.
