pxxchy77yi am surprised that java isn't higher up though. i only know people that keep ranting about how bad java is hahah
-
Gnonpi7907y@g-m-f so do I. I guess it's because of the large number of people coding only in Js and small number of people coding in Js+something else

I’m wondering if TypeScript is artificially low on this chart. For people forced to use JavaScript but disliking it, TypeScript would be a godsend, hence it scoring high.

@g-m-f to be fair I have seen what would be tedious things to write in other languages summed up to 10 or 20 lines of perl code that really do not look as obfuscated as people seem. I study it from time to time, the language makes sense, the community around perl monks is way too welcoming and nice, my only gripe with it is the code written by other people that looks messy as hell, it really takes the cake for write only language most of the time.

bioDan61597y@AleCx04 please give an example of such perl code because although i know its a powerful programming language, its the ugliest language imho. Hated the syntax, and the readability was aweful to get used to.

R is low. Cuz no one uses it.
C# is higher than i thought. SO people are idiots. -
mazabin2397y@g-m-f I admit that I used it only once for a CA project on my first year in college. And it was fine. I thought it's not used anymore because it's simply old, but it wasn't annoying to write something simple.

@bioDan sure, google yourself some mojolicious, catalyst, dancer etc and look through their code examples.
Most loathed programming language.
