@Nanos If you upgrading every 20 years, you only gotta do it 4-5 times , i think that's fair, great actually. Everytime the switch would feel like shifting from a bicycle to a supercar 😂😂😂

@arnavop And you think steam doesnt work on Linux ? Or are you in love with playing games that break over a missing .dll file ?

@Nanos Are you on Linux ? If so, ideally there should be no change in OS given that you keep it up to date. And even if you dont, i have never seen linux updates which slow it down, it has always progressively been smoother and faster for me.

    Chromie, Chromie.

    Yes Papa.

    Eating RAMie.

    No Papa.

    Telling lies?

    No Papa.

@Nanos To be fair, I don't think its CPU discrimination actually, it's just that there is a lot of experimentation going on with CPUs in general, with every other company trying to implement their version of ARM, and apple being a dick and creating a whole different architecture with hybrid cpu and gpu. The developers at Steam have limited bandwidth to comeup with solutions for so many versions.

@Nanos Choose a OS which is used by a lot of people, like Ubuntu + Gnome, and keep updating once every 15 days, you shouldn't face many issues overtime. Or you could be adventurous and install a version of manjaro + Gnome and let it roll, even if something breaks, it will be fixed very soon. I personally choose to build it from scratch on pure arch + i3wm ricing. Fucking around it taught me a lot and now i dont care, whatever happens i will fix it. At one time, i had about 6 OS installed on my system at once. 🤠
