Joe, is that you?
You sound like my friend Joe. Few hours ago he said something similar to me that their workplace only allows IE from today. -
Neoxas2387y@error503 Haha no I'm not Joe, however I'm glad it's not just me who is having a painful Monday!
-
Neoxas2387y@ThatDude haha Im hoping if I complain to my line manager enough we can get an exemption!
-
What possible reasoning could there be for this, from an IT department no less?
-
Neoxas2387y@TheCapeGreek I'd assume it's something to do with security by limiting the number of applications people use
-
@Neoxas This is why bring an in-house dev is becoming a worse and worse idea haha
-
Neoxas2387y@ArcaneEye my greatest sympathies for you... I do understand how annoying it must be for you guys to have this stuff shoved onto you. Must hurt to implement those sometimes...
Still doesn't mean I'm not going to spend half my time trying to get around policies like this though ;) -
Neoxas2387yCut to me getting back from training tonight frantically trying to think of some way to route IE traffic to chrome....
-
devilowl47yI feel your pain. I'm stuck using IE at work. For a long while, we were required to use a web app at certain times that only worked on versions older than IE9...
-
Neoxas2387yTurns out I can get around it by spoofing the packet headers to appear like they are from internet explorer.... However with Dev tools I have to do this on every page...
Anyone know any good chrome extensions that I can get from a source other than the chrome store which do this??
