@nik123 I love the way you think lol.
She hung up on me but I missed a call from her a few minutes ago.
I’m going to tell her something along the lines of “You have two options here, you can either own up to the computer being broken before you handed to me and I can fix that as well at a price or you can take this back and find another tech you can try and sucker into fixing it. But, we both know that I definitely did not cause this” -
Thats why when they tell you smth has to be only installed, you start it infront of them and check, sadly no other way.
-
@JoshBent Yeah, never ran into stupid shit like this and I always give people the benefit of the doubt before hand.
-
@SauceBoss tbh I had people that go the extra mile even when I did that in the past, some will think "he won't actually do anything"
-
mundo0349797yCall her asking if she will bring the computer or what, pretend she never did.. profit.
I am assuming there is no paperwork or proof. -
Also, DiskDrill that sumbitch and scan for photos. That's always the first step. Rando computers are always fun to snoop around in.
Oh and then maybe repair the thing if you want. -
@SauceBoss Really? Gonna give me an ethics lesson after that rant above? Psh. Computer repair people give themselves a bad name. I had no impact on that. I put in my dues, learned a trade that got me out of repairing idiots' computers, and haven't looked back since. Obviously if you're going to repair some ungrateful person's computer, you're not going to go snooping through their shit. I mean what do you think I am? Some kind of monster? I mean literally NO ONE does that do they. -_-

@SauceBoss The real lesson here is. Don't trust anyone. Learn to take care of your own shit.
User gives me a Mac to work on, States that it “only needs Microsoft office Mac installed”
Okay.
Boot up the laptop....
**Mac OS X utilities**
Hmmm, odd. Reboot.
**Mac OS X utilities**
You’ve got to be shitting me. Call user —
Her - “NO! It was working when I gave it to you, you fix it. I’m not paying to get my laptop returned broken. It was working when I gave it to you!”
Me - “I’m sorry, but it wasn’t. I literally turned it on and this is what it stated * read her the message*
Her - “I don’t believe you, you did something to my computer.”
YOU FUCK! THE FUCK I DID! YOU LITERALLY JUST HANDED ME THE GOD DAMN THING! Can I PLEASE curb stomp this bitch, please....
