Same for me. Switched from 16Mbps to 30 and while some few downloads are a bit faster now it doesn't feel different really.
Bloated websites are still slow as hell. -
I went from 1 Mbps to 120 Mbps from one day to another
I certainly noticed a difference -
samir11807yThat's coz between 1 and 15 there is a noticeable difference. After that, not so much. @Krokoklemme

You sure you're actually getting the higher speed? Contention ratio, etc. I have <1mbps, 100mbps work fibre, and gf has residential fibre. Can definitely tell the difference.

Bikonja23867yMy jump from 20 to 360 was really noticeable and to this day it pains me when I have to go back to the 20...

Eqb814527yIt's not only your connection that matters, the host also has to be capable of supplying the upload speed, also bandwidth != speed..

CPU speeds still matter for me.
Same goes for internet bandwidth. Sure, you won't notice it much it you download a single file or visit a webpage, but try updating three SDKs + a JDK in parallel. You certainly will notice a difference. -
I didn't notice the difference between 40 and 100 until I downloaded stuff on steam. Entire games on fucking seconds. Maybe I didn't notice the difference in torrenting due to geographical limitations.

I went up from 100 to 1000 and noticed the difference when streaming HD video. Of course, reducing the ping time to the US is for more effectual for non-video internet usage.
Remember how CPU speeds stopped mattering after they reached 2GHz? (except for gaming and media editing of course).
I believe Internet speeds have also met that zero marginal utility point at 15Mbps.
I felt no difference when mine went up gradually from 15Mbps to 75Mbps now. (Thanks ACT, India)
