Is babies on floors not a thing where you come from? It’s pretty common to set your baby in front of you on a blanket, where you can see them in your periphery at all times and there’s nothing for them to fall off of (which is a real risk of putting the infant on the chair next to her— that’s definitely not a good idea.)
