Tasperen9887yAre they teaching her how to code or how to fucking click buttons and have code appear.
-
@eskizo no doubt, they tried to get me on when I went to college 10 years ago lol
-
@Torbuntu I tried it for a project, found it quite similar, but laggy at times, and didn't feel like it had any advantage over subl. Plus I love that sublime is a very Linux friendly project!!

@Torbuntu never thought I'd hear Atom and light in the same sentence... it's just like running a chrome browser at the same time as another web browser.
Sublime uses the same license strategy as WinRAR -
I occasionally try out Atom for a day or two. Then I got back to my heavily modified ST3
-
@Torbuntu
Atom is really awesome I just installed it a couple of days ago easy to push as well -
maqdude737y@ChainsawBaby still i use atom.. Knowing that its slow to start.. I like the way it looks..
Mostly using intellij anyways.. -
lmsblt1487yHahahahaha. Oh my. Same in my college. And we're using Dreamweaver 8. Lol.
I asked my teacher if I could use Visual Studio Code. And she says,
"No, stick with dreamweaver and notepad."
Uhm, okay? Lol -
Tork37yMy college too uses unregistered or trial version of development softwares to teach us...
In our networking classes I still remember the moment I heard that
"Since it is an unregistered version of CISCO packet tracer everyone use the guest login"
I hadn't paid attention to the above and for about 30mins tried to figure out just how to go through the login screen without the damn password
Result
I couldn't complete the task we were handed that day

maqdude737y@Torbuntu i think sublime is a little lighter than atom.. then again i use both.. only love for both of them..
-
maqdude737y@Torbuntu well i wish atom would implement the block edit feature that sublime has (and ultraedit when i used windows)
You can also add the minimap in intellij.. -

Column edit block edit block mode.. i dont know what to call it but i like it. -
mundo0349797yHaha my lil brother is doing the same thing !

My little sister is taking an intro to web development in college right now... They're really setting them up for success over there with their unregistered copies of DreamWeaver... Heavy sigh
