I miss my old ZenBook with Linux 😔

I mean, the MacBook is great, but it feels like I left my old simple gf who loved me for a Hollywood sexy bitch who doesn't give a fuck

I've always wondered if zenbooks serve well for devs. Would you highlight anything specifically awesome about them?

I love everything about Mac (for dev) except the file structure.. like nginx for example /use/lib/etc/nginx/.... What??!

@tetrapack nothing in particular, in 2012 it was a light, powerful and nice-looking laptop. Also, Linux worked great with it.

ZenBooks are not overpriced unlike Airs and are generally good value products. Mine does have two caveats, the touchpad is pretty shit (cheaply built) and the wifi on Linux can be a bit iffy.

You can always install Linux on your Macbook using rEFInd.

@Pizza I have a 2016 model! The only thing which doesn't work for me is the webcam, which I personally don't care about. And power management, when I close the screen it doesn't sleep. Which I don't care about either... but I can imagine other people would.

@bittersweet So I assume you have the non-touchbar version! Because the touchbar version is much worse :/ no wifi
