Tell me about your experience developing apps on a Mac.

I heard a lot of people are displeased by the platform. At the same time, I'm comfortable developing web apps on a Macos (using vim + tmux) and want to know whether I'm missing out.

Do yourself a favor and stop writing web apps. Those are the worst invention ever.
They are picked by lazy frontend people who can't learn how to code in system's native language and by people who don't care if a small app uses 500mb of ram.

Here is my thought. Invest time and create apps the correct way. Like real programmers do. Web apps should remain in browser.

Probably my answer is not fully related to your question, but just a rant since you mentioned web apps.

@CoffeeAndHate Oh, what a misunderstanding. I mean I develop websites and other web-related stuff, not the js-instead-of-native things.

@iHateCamelCase Ah, I see. My bad then. But remember that for future, if you think about writing them.

EDIT: And to be ontopic, I used Xcode for an app and some prototyping. Not the best IDE, but I don't think you have alternatives that offer all the features you need.
