Just started teaching myself Rust. Is this hatred I am feeling normal?

I like Rust and I think it is an awesome language! I hope you'll have much fun and you'll create good software. Good luck! 🙂

personallly I have been bit frustrated but that has more to do with me having a math and OO background which makes it confusing for me to to not think like either OO or pure math because of the mixed nature of Rust.

what is bothering you about it?

I just don't like the overly wrapped nature of things. I don't like having to do a shit ton of conversions between types and I don't like having result objects...just give me the damned object back or throw an exception.
