Yes, switch to VSCode asap. You'll not regret it. Why? Just try it and you'll see.

@affanshahid React Native Tools and then ... just what you need and want. https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/...

(personal opinion)
I'd switch to VS code solely because it's open source but except for that, I don't like VS code tbh! Just give me Atom or Brackets :) -
@tracktraps VS Code uses more than 1 gig of ram for me (on any system/device I've used it) and Atom keeps it very low. Also I can't work with the interface for some reason so I'll happily recommend atom over VS Code!
-
@linuxxx For me it is exactly the other way around. VSCode max 500-800 MB, atom 1 gig and more.
-
@tracktraps 500MB?!? It reaches about 200 Max for me mother of god. But (oh judge me all you want, I'm used to it) also the fact that MS made it and I very much dislike that company, I'd rather not use VS Code anyways :) just my personal preference!

asolda1027yI don't work with react, but VS code is one hell of an editor; like others here I had a bit of a "Microsoft prejudice", but it's fast, light (lighter than Atom in my experience) and highly customisable. I strongly recommend you give it a try
