@jAsE I normally charge less than $200(include hosting+domain) for such websites or depend on client requirements.

@jAsE I did such one project like that very simple home,about,service, contact page not any template but I provide them hosting for 1 year. Cost =$150

@jAsE may be it is less comparing to other countries but in Mumbai,india. we have to charge as low possible to customer.
Such websites take 2 days 15-16hours maximum.

For reference, I've worked for an agency which rapidly built static "info websites" for local bakeries, construction freelancers, hobby clubs, etc.

They had their own CMS with a bunch of plugins for caroussels/banners, disqus comments, address/map and a menu viewer for diners/restaurants.

The basic option was €500, which included setting up 5 pages from a main navigation menu, some CSS styling for branding and colors (about 4h) and some content writing + SEO (4h). Client had to deliver logos and text, our writer would just proofread and optimize.

We had a crappy basic webshop plugin as well, filling it with a few example products would bring it to €1500 — client got a pdf manual on how to manually add more products.

Security updates and buxfixes were automatic and free, Content/style/brand updates €30/15m.

It felt expensive to me back then, but in the reality where salaries and office rent needs to be paid, they were considered "budget".

@bittersweet yes for such setup and experience developer price increase. I am student and web development is just my hobby ,my setup is Ubuntu based laptop with 512kbps internet speed. Life experiences at my place are low so this is enough money for me. Btw can you share your social contact details. I will like to ping such experience developer.
