When I can't sleep, I fantasise about a devRant app with native UI.

Yea. And you would think developers designing app for developers know their shit and follow standards.

As devRant has been written in Appcelerator Titanium, which is a tool to write Android apps in HTML, CSS and JS, creating a native UI isn't as easy.
However, I'm sure you are free to create an own unofficial client that does use native UI. I can help you if you want to :)

@arwinneil is it true that using Xamarin, one searches for solutions to errors more often than building the app? I've read that quite a few times and also encountered it myself

@Faraaz I've been using Xamarin for something like a year, and I can confirm that. Gets pretty frustrating at times. The amount of issues you run into is unreal. Sometimes you get runtime errors just saying "Unhandled exception", no error code, doesn't show you which line or anything. Just a dialogue saying "Unhandled exception". By the time you go through all your code trying to figure what the heck is going wrong, hours have passed.
