@jsframework9000 I would usually agree, but I'm not 100% sure that's true in this case. Maybe it is!

Sounds like an arrogant prick, which (as the first guy stated) stems from his own insecurities
-
@VirtualProtect Yeah, he has the mentality that he doesn't write bugs. He may have received bad data or bad requirements, but he doesn't ever write bad code. :eyeroll:
-
@ClemFrieckie Yeah, there have already been at least a few from the team that have left because of him.
-
@someviolinist It must be lots of fun pointing out bugs/mistakes to this person. I would rather fix the bugs myself instead of telling him and endure his whining.
-
m0nk12467yYeah been there. Proved the asshole software engineer with 15+ years of old school shit wrong and left
-
@wolfium what's (almost) funny about this is that I've made suggestions to him (and so have others on the team). He tells us why it's so terrible to do it that way and then a few months later he comes back either having done that in some bit of code he was working on or suggesting we try it.

m0nk12467y@someviolinist Next time suggest something wrong let him go do it then fix it on the spot in ur way have the code ready and tell him infront of everyone told u so!

If I were his boss and be aware, I would only warn him once for this tone. More probably I hadn't hired him.
When your "senior software architect" comes over to where the rest of the team is working to tell the level 1 developer, "I saw your review and it was so wrong that I didn't even bother leaving a comment." There are no words. Way to help teach, encourage, and bring up the younger, less experienced devs.
