It's not about giving you practical patterns to mindlessly apply, it's about giving you a deeper understanding of the principles at play that underlie everything. The more you understand of the fundamental first principles (if even just a tiny bit) it can have huge benefits on how your brain approaches solving a problem—especially new problems you haven't encountered before.

pfieffer1637y@devios1 yes I know. I meant to be a little sarcastic when I wrote that. Theory of computation is really important. Regular grammar, Turing machine, finite automata,.. I love them. I would definitely go over them once again happily if I get some time off.
