@vohewov474 There are companies who do promote remote work ... but I think the chances of someone leaving an office job is much higher than them leaving a remote job. That's why we don't see remote offers as much.

A good chunk of my institution's staff heavily complained about going back to work when we had proved that we have the infrastructure to fully support remote.

The new head of our organization is of course "oLd sChooL" and wanted everyone back as soon as restrictions were lifted because "people want to get back to their desks" and to this day I have absolutely no fucking clue who mentioned that whatsofuckingever.

I don't necessarily mind my office, and I like chilling with my coworkers and having a space to work in, but I fucking *despise* the commute. My team was at their most productive working from home. Problems would get resolved within mere minutes and we finished over 4 large scale projects in the span of months. But noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

In our company we were able to persuade them to keep working from home.

But the price we paid... Oh boy.

Ever did an analysis and graphical presentation of HR related key factors like days of absence, booked hours, sprint velocity etc... For 5 years?

To prove that WFH in COVID wasn't bad ... It was necessary.

But that cost a lot of sanity.

Only control freaks and people who hate their private life are the ones that don't like the WFH, plus lazy fucks!

"Everybody" that wants to go back to the office are the fucks who never did any job whatsoever and now they can't burn working time on nonsense like being late half and hour, morning coffee 1 hour, watercooler time talking about latest psyops/next big shit at least hour and half, long lunch with colleagues in the restaurant - 2 hours, being on the meaningless meetings for hour and a half.

Writing emails for half an hour, asking developers shitty questions for an hour. Asking everybody and micromanage shit because promoting synergy or some other dumb shit buzzword for half an hour.

Oh look, half of hour of overtime today!

When wfh, they actually have to do shit so that's why they like the office!
