I hate middle management's idea of always spinning a negative into positive wording.
I'm a strong believer that "those who still tell you when you're wrong, still care that you get it right" (paraphrasing Randy Pausch's the last lecture for the second time on DevRant).
People who spin, you can see the wheels turning, and then watch the same thing happen over and over again. -
@Alt-Grrr it's an opportunity for advancement... if we pay you less, you'll need to climb the corporate ladder like everyone else; even though, you're a strong developer and it wouldn't make sense to put you elsewhere.
Funnily enough I earn more than my managers, it's hilarious when they try to get me into management.
