That's one of the generic knock off ones. The initial design that Antsy were developing had the joystick raised like that. They were unsatisfied with it and shortened it so that the joystick was closer to flush, but the Chinese company they were using for prototyping sold the plans to a bunch of other companies who have been cranking out those knockoffs. The real ones look like this.

Mine broke after I dropped it (official one). When I contacted them to complain (because it wasn't a big drop) the reply I got was "they are not designed to be dropped".

I'm sorry, for £20 and considering they are designed for people with fidgeting issues you would think it could withstand being knocked off a desk! Was less than impressed.
