Ok. Kill me now. WTF! This thing gets to 100% and starts all over again? Probably going to mess up Grub. I hate these updates. Restarted twice now!

There are some tools that disable Windows updates. I don't know how well they work since I don't use Windows but you should check them out 8)

Turn metered connection on and it won’t download and install new updates.

But if not VS then Windows would not worth the effort. My PC in different OSes:
-Linux-blazing fast what a great PC I have
-macOS-so quiet and fast, everything builds for seconds and loads for seconds
-Windows-WTF is this crap, how am I supposed to use it, it can be silent and slow AF or like a fucking airplane battery eating monster.

Windows is not my daily driver but I use it once in a while for graphics editing and such. Usually after weeks so most of the updates are usually large. Disabling them is a bad idea.

w10 sometimes b0rks dual boot. The reason is that for larger updates, it installs a second stage installer in the bootloader, potentially overwriting things belongning to grub/linux (this is especially true if linux partition is first on HDD)

Solution: install linux on a separate drive (or even a thumb drive) and use your BIOS "Boot Menu" (F12) to select what you want to boot.
